School Education system in India
Generally Education in India is booming and every city of India shows the evidence for development in Education. School Education plays a major role in developing the character of a child from a very early age. India has both Government schools and Private schools.
Levels of Education in Schools
The school education in India is categorized into Primary Education, Upper Primary Education, Secondary Education and Higher Secondary Education. Primary Education includes students from the age group 5 to 10 years. The Indian government insists on gaining this level of education for every citizen. The government had also forbidden child labor to ensure primary education to all children.
Prior to Primary Education, children of age group form 3 to 5 are put in play schools in India. Children of age group 10 to 14 are considered to be in the upper primary education. The secondary education covers children of age group 14 to 16. The secondary school system also provides professional vocational training to help students to locate their own profession. The Higher Secondary Education covers children of age group 16-18 and this is the last level of school education in India.
Boards of Education in India
Boards of Education in India are mainly classified into Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and State Board. Central board schools are governed by the Central government and the State Government governs State board schools.
The medium of instruction of schools in India is mainly English. The CBSE board schools should learn the official language of India compulsorily and the State boards schools insist on learning the respective state languages. The official language of India is “Hindi” and all the schools that follow CBSE syllabus should compulsorily learn Hindi.

Several factors such as infrastructure, excellent academic results, extra-curricular activities and class staff decide the quality of schools in India. Even the residential and boarding schools have received good recognition in the country. The best schools in India mainly follow the 10+2 standards of education. These schools provide best education and also emphasize on extra-curricular activities and sports.
Most of the schools in India follow the same admission procedure. Parents are directed to submit the application forms duly filled in within a stipulated period of time. The children are called for an admission test by the schools and an interview with the children. Once the admission is through, the candidates are required to pay the fees and proceed with the other admission formalities. Play schools in India does not require these formalities.
