A proclamation by Naukri.com said the strike occurred on April 16, and is accepted to have begun in Russia.
``As a precautionary measure we immediately reset the passwords of our job-seekers, and in order to ensure safety of the data, we also suspended the login, registration, edit, forgot password and apply functionality of the site for a few hours,`` the statement read.
Some Naukri.com user accounts, alongside their passwords, have been affected, an company agent said, declining to uncover what number of records was influenced. Naukri says it has 3.7 crore continues on its site.
``We displayed a message communicating this prominently across all the touch points of the site. An emailer has been sent to job-seekers informing them about this development, and advising them to change their passwords,`` the statement said.
